Kettle Dyes to the rescue!

I've gotten out of my solid-color-pullover slump, but now I've fallen down the cardigan-with-patterned-yoke rabbit hole. I got a copy of Norah Gaughan's Knitting Nature, and it has a pattern for a sweater coat with a colorwork yoke done in a fractal pattern. Here's the image from the book:

World Premiere!

Well, there was popcorn...that makes it a premiere, right?

I just finished our first set of video tutorials, and we had a little viewing party before putting them up on the website. Each video has been embedded in its related tutorial, including two new introductor… Continue

Comfy Weekend Project

I had been looking for an excuse to try out Comfy ever since I knit up the buttons-and-closures swatches for the cover of the April catalog. It was so soft in my hands, and I loved the resul… Continue

I finally finished my sister's sweater!

All that seed stitch took forever, but it's finally done and, thankfully, fits her without any weird gaps or bunching. The pattern is Roam from… Continue

I know what you mean about that fun acrylic yarn! I've got a few of them lying around. I think I'll make little pot holders for some people to use it up. I can't justify wasting any yarn, no matter what type!

Your work is beautiful. How long have you been knitting for?

I really like the triple strand alpaca sweater. Is it your own design or from a book? I'm trying to find a pattern to knit a sweater for my husband and it's been hard to find something fairly simple that is designed for guys. (I'm not ready to tackle a cable sweater!!!)

Hi there,
Thanks so much Alison for your help when I started with the Knitting Community. I have now - finally! - put together my own collection of photos.

You do great work, Alison! Those are my kind of sweaters, and the photos are excellent as well--and for me, that's MUCH harder than knitting!

Hi Alison...

Thanks for the friend request! Your finished projects are just gorgeous. I hope my knitting can look that good some day. :)

I love the brown fisherman's pullover. It reminds me that I must start adding photos of my own projects.
Thanks for adding me as a friend.
Best wishes,
Mandy:)
