It made me smile.

An email just went round work saying one of the lectures in biology has be getting several answer phone messages from the PR company for the new alien v predator film. Apparently they found on the university’s expertise page that he was an expert in invading alien species. He's now getting it changed to expert in invasive species.

Knitpicks order has landed

So I'm very excited my knitpicks order has landed. The friend who brought them across the Atlantic was nice enough to send a picture. I’ve just got to sort a date to pick them up now. There doesn’t look that much of it when I see it like that. I’ve a horrid feeling my other half isn’t going to see it that way. Oh well.

Ears and site.

I've finished the knitting for the ear or the rabbit but there won't be pictures yet because my other half still has to pick fabric for the inner ear. This may take some time. Excitingly Get Knitted has the knitpicks fixed circular harmony needles in 100cm and 120cm sizes yeah I’ve ordered them. Also this weekend is Wonderwool Wales and I’m going yeah. The only little blip on my horizon is that my PCR’s aren’t working and the knitpicks website is down.

Earless Bunny

At Christmas my other half had some bad news. A mouse had taken up residence in his parent’s attic and ravaged amongst other things his childhood toy collection. Only 2 things were really damaged a frog he doesn't remember and a knitted rabbit. The rabbit has great sentimental value so I said I'd fix it. The mouse had only really gone for the ears I think because they were stuffed with paper and winters a cold time for a little mouse living in an attic though probably not as cold as it is living… Continue

I Knit London

Last night I went it is now my new favourite place. I squealed. Girls like me don't squeal. Anyway I was considering getting some lantern moon needles size 5mm for swatching. A big extravagance but they look so elegant. I on the other hand don't, I'm scruffy. I'm not sure why I thought these needles would turn me into the knitting equivalent of Audrey Hepburn, a feet that won't even be accomplished by an army of stylists and beauticians but there we go in my head I thought they might (hmmm unrea… Continue
