I'm a converted crocheter, whose been knitting and crocheting since I was a child. Only in the last few years have I became completely enamored with knitting. I am 45, have two grown sons, a husband, and 2 budgies. I love to listen to music, podcasts, watch movies, and play around on the web.

Dawna,
Thanks so much for the location of the pattern of Knitty the cat! I think it won't be very long before I begin one for myself. If, that is, my adult daughters don't get wind of what I am doing!
You do beautiful work, and I love your color choices. I love cool colors, especially blue, but enjoy adding bright warm accents, too. Your sweater is awesome!
Thanks for your comments! I have to admit, I have already become a little unsure of the Wool-ease yarn for the socks after another pair of socks I knit in a thicker yarn from Lion Brand completely wore away on the bottom after a few months. (I made them for a male friend who would wear them around in the house like slippers, with no shoes on.) I was very disappointed in the performance of that yarn, but I had already started these Wool-ease socks. I'll have to see how they wear. Several years ago, I made my daughter a pair of socks using Phildar sport weight yarn and she wore them all the time. They washed and wore beautifully and never got holes before she outgrew them. Do you recommend a particular sock yarn?
Hi Dawna,
Like you I started out crocheting as a kid. My Grandma taught me to knit after I had a severe neck injury and had to work in my small motor skills all over. I am also in love with knitting right now. I have recently been adding crocheting to my knitting projects as a finishing and love the effect.
