About Me:
I am a fifty something mother of 3 and find myself 'unclaimed romantically these days which does get a bit lonely now and then - enter - knitting!

Knitting was good before, but since I have discovered online it is awesome. Somehow, i stumbled on kelley's podcase about 6 months and my life hasn't been the same since. Will add more later, but off to get into the good stuff now. i think this is a brilliant idea

Getting back to blogging!

Have been having some frustrations lately and have had to put all my sock knitting on hold until I get some smaller needles and this has not pleased me. Have ordered some needles and have decided to complete some projects while I am waiting although i have a huge desire to indulge myself in the 'cast on disease'. So, my knitting goals for this week are: Complete and sew up 2 Baby Surprise Jackets - 1 finished and 1 90% fiised Carmel's feather and fan shawl - work on/complete - have to dye and… Continue

EASTER POSTING

Am having a very quiet Easter - getting on with my projects. Went to my spinners group today and came home with a whole box of English Leister bats which i can now spin to make a felted bag from the book 'Knit One, felt two. I have spent a few hours today browsing online - mainly Ravelery and here on knitpicks - now I'm thnking - would be better to put my time in actuyally doing something rather than browsing and fantasizing! I urgently need to spin and dye so I can get on with it - I can't keep… Continue

FIRST BLOG

OHHH this is so exciting - my first blog. I have a few stashed on my computer but haven't been able to publish them and this is my big chance. I have posted an album of a local day out to see the shearing - go have a look. I have also put in my first knit picks order - including harmony needles - this is even more exciting. There has been a glitch with my card, but should be sorted today. I started listening to Kelley's podcasts about 6 months ago and then discovered the world of on line knit… Continue

IHi Roseanne
I live in Montana, and yes, we do live on the ranch. We also have cows and honeybees. :o)
If I get a chance, I will try to tak some pics, but it might take awhile to post them since this computer has little in the way of a decent photo program, ugh!
Still 3000+ before me in line for Ravelry, which is probably a good thing at the moment!
Happy knitting,
Annie

Hi Annie,

Hope you will also share pics of your family shearing. Tell me more about it - where is the farm, do you live on the farm?
As to the time element and the net - what can i say ? I'm on Rav and it sure eats into my knitting time!

Thank you for sharing the shearing pics, that's what my family will be doing on the 29th (okay, I will be cooking for the shearers, hubby and our boys will be working the sheep for the actual shearers)!
I spend way too much time looking up knitterly things online, and I haven't even gotten my intvite to join Ravelry yet (on the waiting list), heaven help me then!

I had trouble logging back in to my account and my page. Either it was me or that network. I had to start over again. Have you had any problems? I just bought my own computer recently. This is my first computer, i had been using the ones at my local public library. So it may have been me and I may have accidently changed something. I hope it was me.
see ya,

Hi! I'm Knitty50 from Indiana. I am celebrating my 50th birthday this month, hence the 50 in my nickname. I enjoyed your page and your blog. This is my first "real" blog also. I tried others, but they were too difficult. Anyway, I also love Knitpicks and I'm so glad they come up with this. I have been a regular customer for two years now and I love it! I think you will also!! I am on a budget and I will always be grateful for affordable knitting luxuies!
happy knitting and blogging,
Knitty50
