About Me:
I help spread the word about all of Knit Picks newest products and promotions as a member of the marketing department.

I'm a pretty new knitter so I like projects that are cheery, a little quirky, and quick and easy to make. Legwarmers, fingerless mittens a la Madonna, and pretty colors like Neptune and Moroccan Red are right up my alley.

Angela's Blog

Have you heard of Wordle?

While not strictly knitting related, this is still pretty darn rad. You enter the URL of your blog (or you can cut and paste any text you want), and Wordle will create a "word cloud" using the words you use most in your blog (not counting or, an… Continue

Camping knitting

I've been on 2 camping trips so far this summer, one in Powell, Idaho in June, and one last weekend at Loon Lake. I thought camping required a different kind of knitting, something easy and brainless that you can knit at dusk around the campfire or early in the morning when… Continue

Wow. Portland knitters know how to party.

We were expecting 35-40 people last night including our staff so imagine how surprised we were when 83 of you showed up! 3 more knitters and the fire marshall might have crashed the party!! We're so glad you could all make it!! I know the event was pretty early in the eveni… Continue

My adventures with a speed knitter...

So as I mentioned in my last post, Miriam and her son Thuur are visiting our offices this week from Holland.

We kept Miriam pretty busy yesterday filming video tutorials and posing for a catalog photo, so we decided to do something a little more low key today and film Miria… Continue

Thanks Angela. I will give the "blog" a try, later, when the pace at our house slows down a little...I will try by placing a pattern on it.

Hi Angela,
Thanks for the prompt reply. It works! But now I dont know how to take it off my page! I tried it there first before sending it to Cristin.
As for the "blog" do you post patterns on it? Or is it more as a "diary" kind of thing? I find my life very interesting, but, would others? And would they care what, where and how much I knit and do other "things"?

Hello Angela,
referring to a message i sent you on April 24th.... I tried to paste it on Cristin's page but it did not come out, just the text????
I typed it in WORD and then used copy/paste. Can you pls explain where i went wrong?
It is a grid? chart? pattern for the blanket pattern she wanted.
Thanx for any help.

Hi Angela - not sure if you're the one running the poll, but I wanted to just add a comment - I would LOVE to see KnitPicks offer more plus size (1X-3X) sizing and patterns - Kelley's recent podcast with the editor of Big Girl Knits was wonderful, and it'd be great to see more options at my Favorite Yarn Site/Store (knitpicks.com) for my own figure. :-) Thanks!

Hi Angela,
Thank you for your comments on my Baby Blanket. cristin has asked me to share the pattern.....how do I this and do you allow it? I dont remember where i got the "original" heart design. I adapted it over the yrs so that each heart has a nice left and right side: same fr the "ribbon lace" in the same pattern...
Thanks fr any help you can give me.
Ingrid
