Even though dog hair can be spun, it isn't a stable yarn. Because the fibers are so straight and slippery, the yarns tend to fall apart over time. If you want to knit with the yarn as a memory project, try the brim of a hat in colorwork with the dog hair yarn being the secondary color.
Hi there! I found ya on Knitpicks and then migrated to Ravelry when I got my invite.
What's on your needles now? I've got 4 projects going ~ A baby layette, Baby afghan, capelet for myself and a pair of socks that I've set aside till I can get to my LYS for some advice ~ they're way too wide. My guage seems correct so I need a diagnosis from an experienced sock knitter to determine if it is the pattern that I'm using or if it's ME! Your pup is precious! I can't have a pet where I live, so envy those of you who enjoy that companionship. I've always had dogs and cats prior to living here.
Options needles. Sharp points, smooth cable joins, flexible cables. Interchangeable needle tips starting at 4.99. Also available as classic circulars and double pointed needles.
Wool of the Andes Kettle Dyes
Our popular Peruvian wool yarn is now available in kettle dyes, only $3.49/50 grams.
Rock those socks!
