About me...
I am a mother of two adult sons, and have been married this year for 20 years. (We have been together for 25 years!) Whew!!
I have been a hobbiest and crocheter since I was 7 years old. I enjoy crafts of all types. I also enjoy my digital camera. Going to spend an afternoon at a bookstore. And taking care of my small petting zoo (2 English Pointers, 3 Cats and a dwarf rabbit baby).
Someday I hope to have grandchildren, but No Rush! :^)
I hope to meet many new people here who also enjoy knitting... drop me a note, add me as a friend. Thanks for stopping in.

Good to hear from you! Yeah! it seems a "knitty" affliction that so many of us knitters share...the growing out of control S T A S H..I too am partial to Alpaca and have loads of it. So far the only 2 projects I did complete were a sjaal in Smokey Heather(gift) from KP and a sjaal for myself in Horizon also from KP but now discontinued. I LOVE the wood harmony needles. I like them because they make such a nice contrast with the light colored yarns I prefer. I am buying the 10" short straight needles, not to knit with, but to stick in my hair!
I was going to start my "blog" on my page but it will have to wait until i get my pc back. I hate to type on my laptop. I am putting on it the patterns some of our fellow knitters have asked for.
We have not traveled much this summer, so I have done my knitting sitting around the pool watching the grandkids, rather than knitting around the campfire....As soon as John is better I hope we'll travel again this fall. I have put the pix of the finished "stuff" on my page with the pix. Take a peek and let me know what you think. They are super easy Sweaters for David and Abigail. A tunic and 2 summer dresses for Katie. Am finishing Katies sweater with scalloped border at the sleeves and waist.
In a few days I'll start a wrap for myself....before I start the winter sweaters, socks and dresses.
They were all knit in the Shine Sport. Lovely and soft although a little heavy.
We do not have many store which sell the "nicer" yarns. And so far the only knit clubs i found work on projects to be completed in a few hours. NO lace, garments or socks. The smallest size needle size 11! We live very rural and I do not go out much since our traveling is put aside for now.
What are you working on?
I'm going to try to finish a wool beret before it gets too warm. But I really can't wait for the 80F weather they're predicting for Friday! It's been too grey here.
I want to knit some linen or cotton or something summery.

How have u been doing? I've been knitting on socks. My shawl is coming along alittle slow. I'm going to start taking spinning lessons. First class is next Fri. Will learn to spin using a spindle & spininng wheel! Just what I need is any hobby! What have u been knitting? chat at u later. Have a good day.
Sure I would like a new knitting friend. I am also a crafter of all kinds. I crochet, cross stitch, plastic canvas and am a self taught knitter.
I taught myself to knit so I could make socks which are fun. Don't worry cabling seems harder than it really is and there is mock cabling too. If you have satelight tv Knitty gritty is a nice program that shows you how to do different thing and there are lots of patterns.
Hope to hear from you soon.

Sure, I'd love a new knitting friend. I wish I had more time to knit and play on all the websites that offer such wonderful tutorials and patterns and communities and ... I'm a novice in these community things and don't know exactly how to use them. But I'm learning.
My 3rd grade teacher taught me to cast on, knit and purl, but not how to cast off! I finally learned that 20 years later, along with a myriad of other stitches and how to read a pattern and chart, etc. It's been my passion ever since! I always have something on my sticks.
So much yarn, so little time!!

It's a pleasure to meet you. I love to do crafts of all kinds. My favorite is to crochet and Knit. Knitting has became my passion. My sister got me started with knitting a little over a yr ago. I have crocheted for more than 25 yrs. I am a self taught crocheter and knitter. Right now I am working on a shawl for my daughter and a blanket for our new grandson. I have knitted a few scarves (lacey ones included), wash clothes, baby sweater sets, purses and felted purses, and socks. It will be nice to share idea's.
I hope your weather's nicer than the gray day here.
I'm wondering what projects you're working on. Maybe we have something in common in the works.
