- I started knitting about 8 years ago. I learned how to knit and purl and from there, I have been non stop. Even with my hand in a cast and swollen, I found a way to carry on. Just like any other fiber junkie, I can't get enough. I am always on the lookout for a new technique, so if you have one, I am game. With my job, I need something to keep my hands and wrists from getting stiff. I work in physical therapy; now you understand. Without the knitting, I would go stark raving mad. When the day has so few accomplishments at times, I am always able to put in a few rows and know that something went right today.
