- A crafter from birth, I have always loved making things and giving gifts that are handmade. Of course I blame all the wonderful crafty women in my family for this, but it's not a bad thing. Coming from a mother who is an amazing seamstress, a Mommaw that made beautiful hand-sewn quilts, and a Mimmy that could sew, embroider and draw like no other person I've met...there was no chance that I wouldn't be crafty in some way.
When I was younger, it was something for me to do with my mom or grandmothers...but now it is a way for me to relax and get away from things for a while. I get excited to watch a project go from a ball of yarn or a pile of material into a beautiful finished project. But I will never love anything more than seeing the recipients faces when I give them something that I've made just for them.
