I love to read or knit also. In fact I love to listen to someone read to me and knit at the same time if I can swing it.

I'm visiting knitters this morning and greeting some I have something in common with. I also have two grown daughters, one engaged to be married April 09, the other concentrating on getting her masters.

Knitting helps to keep me calm when the wedding plans get intense. hahaha Have a good day

Hi my name is Sam, I'm 49 years old and holding! (I'll be turning 50 here a couple days after Mother's day) I'm married to Peter who is 46, and we have been married almost 7 years come September. I have 3 adult dd's (who some times do not act like they are adults) 3 son's in law and 3 grandchildren, 1 grandson 4 and 2 granddaughters 3 and 3 months. I'm a Native of Washington of state, born & raised in Eastern WA and now living in the shadow of Mt Rainier (or as some say mt rainhere LOL)

I'm a school bus driver as well as driving paratransit shuttles in the down season from school. I never leave home for work without my knitting or count'n cross stitchery with me or a good bodice ripper novel. I have to be bored But that comes from being a Taurus I think.

I've only come back to knitting in the last 4 years or so. I learned to knit when I was Cadette Girl Scout. I have made so many scarfs, it would gag a horse or two. And then I stop, don't know why either. And then my middle dd became pregnant with my first grandchild and I just had to make a blanket for him, and that got me started again. And since then I found out that I can make felted purses, socks and hats and that I pretty good at them. So don't tell my dh what I'm spending on them ok? And thats one of the reason I have to a second job to pay for my yarn habit. I guess it's better then a drug or booze problem? Right?
