Hello Cincinnati from Louisville -- just down the river. I just joined the sock knitalong on Knit Picks-- I am loving the sock thing, too! I am still working at a job, but retirement is fairly soon. I have tried and tried to teach myself acoustic guitar and failed -- good luck. I'll bet lessons are the way to go!

I started out using the feather and fan pattern from knitpicks. The pattern is, very simple. If I can do it I know you can . don't know if it's considered to be a true lace patteren,but it's fun.

That's great you are learning to play guiter an have and taking Spanish lessons as well. I'm a stay at home Mom. I,m disable, and can't work any more. My profession was in the optical field. I really miss it. I took up knitting and designing jewlery. I love to make jewlery with gemstones.Now I' knitting a shawl. Having fun with it .I'm trying to learn how to get around on the computer.
