The Rona shawl is offered by KP. It's very lacy and elegant, and not too difficult if you use lots of markers. I had a hard time with the cast-on, but since then, I have learned from EZ about the Emily Ocker's cast on, and through another shawl knitalong, I found out about knitting a little rectangle with waste yarn to hold onto, then adding the project's yarn and joining the circle at that point. I think I will try that next time. --Peggy
I'll suggest the idea of a cable knit along. However, if you want a specific knit along for "Cables Untangled", there are a couple of good places to look on Ravelry (www.ravelry.com).
I've been looking for a Stonington Shawl knitalong. I'm halfway through the center diamond, and I have some questions. As usual, EZ throws you the schematics and you're on your own. I'm loving the Alpaca Cloud, although it slows me down, because I keep stopping my knitting so I can hold it up to my face! --Peggy
You might want to check out the Stonington Shawl on Ravelry. Here is a link: Stonington Anyway, there are links to other people who have knit the shawl, forums, blogs, and comments that might answer your question.
Thanks! There were some nice photos, and it was fun reading what everyone wrote about it. I was kind of looking for a group of people I could share the experience with. I have lots of projects, though, so maybe one of them with show up as a KP knitalong. --Peggy
