Help, I am halfway through making a sweater for my mom from the 2008 Stitch-n-bitch calendar, but have lost the pattern. Would anyone be willing to share the pattern with me? It's from near the beginning of the calendar, and shows a purple pullover. I'm using Knitpicks Cotlin (with adjustments for gauge) and added a simple lace pattern stitch. It was looking so good! - really would like to finish it!
Thanks!
I remember you mentioning that you might record (with your flip mino) steeking - is this still a possibility? I'm very interested in seeing a good demonstration of this technique.
Actually, we are working on making the tutorials right now. I just finished some swatches to use for the various stages of the process and we will post the video tutorial as soon as it is ready.
Is it possible to paint/dye "details" in the socks after knitting them? For example if I have a leaf pattern, is it possible to hand paint the leaf in greens and the surrounding pattern in different colors. How well does the dye stay where it's put?
You will need to add vinegar to the dye, and paint on socks which have been soaked for a couple hours but are pressed or spun out almost dry. I would practice on some swatchs first, and check into thickening dye to keep it from moving. I haven't done this exact technique, but in painting yarn or roving these tips have helped me in keeping colors separate.
Does anyone know what stitch was used in the swatch in the upper left corner on the cover of the Fall 2008 catalog? And which yarn was used? The varigation is perfect with that stitch. I need to know. Really, really need to know. I need to knit this. Please help me out!
I love the Fall catalog and I want to know what the stitch is that is used on the first square on the cover? Actually, I'd like to know all the different stitches used on the cover.
