I'd be willing to join a "design your own item" so we could all share in the design process, or top down raglan. I haven't checked the knitalong page for a few days, though.
Hi! I would love to do a knitalong with a book of knitted gifts! I live in a sunny climate, but i love knitting thank yous, birthday and christmas gifts for friends and family in colder climates...not to mention, little trinkets that are nifty knits for all weathers....i saw several books about knitted gifts...let me know what you think?
How about a Knitalong for the new summer samplers? I've completed the Lace Mat in the Georgian sampler and am just starting the Lace Cap in the same sampler. The Lace Mat gave me a surprising amount of trouble. Circular cast-on, starting with just 4 stitches, M1L and M1R increases all were new to me.
Ok I'll bite, whats M1L and M1R??? I always thought M1 was make one, but how do you make one left or make one right...Thats a good one, makes me chuckle.
Sandy
Here's our tutorial on increases - the Make 1 increase has two variations that slant either left or right. Also, our May catalog will have an additional tutorial on slanting increases and decreases commonly used in lace knitting.
