Hi again. I wasn't sure if you were asking about the slipper-socks or the mini-purses. Both are knitted. The purses are knit over-sized and then felted.

Hi,
I've finally added photos, thanks to everyone's helpful suggestions. I'm in the midst of knitting Christmas presents and just posted more photos of the slipper-purses/felted. It really keeps a person busy, doesn't it.

No fingering weight is not the same as lace weight. The wpi of fingering weight is 19-22 while it's higher than that for lace weight. I posted my request in hopes of presuring Knit Picks into selling fingering weight alpaca, they have alpaca in every other weight.

Hi Ingrid,

Thanks for your question! I think that the best place to post your request is in the Yarn Feedback forum - I've noticed other people post similar yarn requests there.

Hope that helps!

Hi, Ice, missing you, so wondering how that darling baby is coming along, and your knitting, what is your summer knitting, anything special, just a pair of socks for me right now, and a sweater. Irene

Ingrid, I know I need to get my act together and post my pictures. Perhaps I'll do it soon. Right now if you go to the Charity Knitting KAL you can see my preemie hats. Or you can download the patterns from Irene's page. Let me know if you have any problems downloading them. I love your initials. If my husband had thought of that I'm sure we'd have a kid with two middle names and those initials. Then they could have been ICE Waters! He really wanted a little girl named Choppy Bay and call her Bay. Fortunately there were no girls!

And, YES, we could really use the rain!

I like the cooking channels two, they always make the mouth water, in the evining my husband try to find something that will keep our interest while I knit, The travel channel is fun, the weird food one is weird but not boring. What a delightful family you have, I can see where a lot of fun can be had at any time. Irene

Ice: Just got back from the trip. We got back last night. We had a great time, but I only got a little knitting done. It was cool and rainy in Reno, and we had a thunderstorm today. We're taking the trailer back to storage tomorrow. Happy knitting! --P

I received your pattern - Thank You! Could you tell me approx how large the finished blanket is? There isn't a gauge listed. Also, I have no idea what happened to my comments on your page - how strange! I didn't delete them - probably wouldn't be able to change anything on your page even if I wanted to. Let's see what happens to this post. Thanks again.

It was good to hear from you. Sounds like you have been extremely busy. How many grandkids will that make? Lucky you. I started my sweater using my romney I spun. I was so suprized on how it's turning out. It looks good now if it will just fit! Ravelry takes a little time to learn. It's a great source of information. You should keep working at it.
Chat with you soon. Take care.
