It's really weird. Last week I've finished my mum in law's shawl (see the picture of the Crystal Lake shawl in my pictures).
Since then I've wrecked my brain what to knit next. A baby blanket would be lovely. And I've got some nice patterns & yarn, too. But nobody I know is pregnant right now, so not much use (we don't have kids ourselves). So I've now started a sweater for myself, with a pair of socks for my DH on the go as well (for when I want something to just knit away at without having to look at it much). At home, I've got a sweater to finish. I did want to get this done today, but then we decided out of the spur of a moment to go on a motorbike ride. And tomorrow we're booked out on a bike show. So the sweater will still not be done. I would have liked to finish it because I would love to wear it, but then spending time with my DH and a close friend as well as a soon to be close friend was so important, too.
Now then, what would I really LOVE to make? Beats me. It's really weird, but knitting is not much fun if my heart's not in it. Usually, I've got so many projects lined up that this question never even comes to my mind. Usually, I have to contain myself not to start all of those at the same time! Usually... Hm, maybe spring is just setting in, I'm getting restless and so does my bike. Must be.
Well, if you have any ideas, do let me know. I'd hate to start something just to leave it unfinished in a bag or get frustrated with it (even worse).
Spring definitely is setting in, slowly but surely. Today we sat outside in the yard for the very first time, having coffee and tea and cake. It was so nice that I didn't want it to stop, but the sun started to fade, evening came, so it was time to go inside and cook dinner. Which we again spent with one of our close friends.
I guess, life's not so bad, even if it's not spent knitting. LOL
Have a great weekend everyone!
