So two of my best friends are getting married this summer and they aren't registering for gifts because they are older and have all the basic necessities but I really wanted to do something for them. So I found this chart for the Tree of Life and am going to make a little accent pillow for them. I really wanted to do a blanket but with a baby due in July, a two year old and the wedding at the end of August I had to be realistic. Anyways, I knit it with double-stranded Bare so that it could be used and cleaned as necessary. I will be starting on the back sometime soon, probably just stockinette. I am really happy with the way it looks right now, hopefully they will be too.

That turned out great! I love the pattern. Thanks so much for sharing. This would be a good all around pattern for a lit of things.

Here is the afghan pattern from Mary Maxim. And here is the pattern I used from Lion Brand.

That is beautiful! Would you mind sharing where you found the pattern? I have a coworker who is getting married this summer (they are both older and not registering either) and this would make a very touching gift! Could it be adapted to make a blanket or something larger? You did a wonderful job!:)
