Knitting Community

good morning everyone
last thursday i placed an order for some wool and needles from knitpicks, today i admitted to myself i probably will not get my order until next week knitpicks are fast but still it takes time and as you know we have labour day in there i will try to remain patient
the wool is for a cardigan that i shall be knitting as a christmas gift for my granddaughter maici, To help pass the time i started a new project, something i had never tried before, a cardigan knit in the round from the top to the bottom.
The pattern called for bulky weight yarn which i found 17 balls of off white in my basement I shouldn't admit this but i didn't even realize i had it , i guess this is a good thing using some of my stash right?
The pattern is just plain and i really like the neck down method very easy and no seams even the sleeves are done at the same time at least to a certain point then you put the stitches on a holder and finish them on four needles after the body
i haven't knit on circular needles for years not since my fairisle sweater craze, and i do have a complaint about that
my fingers are killing me i only have aluminium needles and i think that is the problem, the wool doesn't slide and also my fingers rub on the needles as i knit the continental style
i am anxious to get the new zephyer needles as i think they will be better, perhaps someone who already has them could comment on this
well i guess i shall get back to my knitting only 4 inches left in the body

Oh, Maureen, I do hope all the best for you and your sweater. I must be lucky, cause I use circular needles most of the time and knit the contimental - oops: continental - style. Maybe it's because I'm so used to them that they don't bother me that much.

But I do hope the Zephyrs are what you're looking for and make it easier for you.

Hugs, Maria

Maureen,
We all find yarn that "we don't know where it came from... or when we got it, etc." but that is OK... it's the way of a knitter. You will love the Zephyrs if you are having problems with your hands. They are super light weight! Almost like you are knitting with air - which I know is impossible. KP really does get orders out fast - I'm one of the lucky ones, as I only live hours away from the warehouse... so I get my orders in two - three days. I placed an order yesterday, and am hoping for delivery on Sat., but I fear it will be next Tues because of the holiday.
