What a wonderful day for a Baby Shower! After the snow yesterday, this day started with lots of sunshine, even though it was still quite cold.
I got all of the baby items "stuffed" into the diaper bag on Friday... and here is a pic of the gift (note that I found the big blue bow).

You can view all of the items I knit
here.
I was one of the first guests to arrive, and while the others were getting ready I kept busy working on the last alpaca sock I have to knit (not the last sock - sigh).
My DDIL is a veteranarian and all of the ladies she works with attended! She had several aunts, her grandmother, and several cousins in attendance, along with a host of friends. The shower was at the home of her sister.
Here is a pic of her sister (the hostess), who by the way is also expecting a baby due shortly before hers'.

Seated next to her are two friends from church, along with their 18 month old daughter.
Here is a pic of her grandmother, with friends and coworkers behind her.

There were several children in attendance, here is a pic of some of them.

Here is a picture of her gifts - there were a lot of gifts!

You can see my felted diaper bag with the big blue bow right in the middle.
Here are the other pictures of her gifts that I was able to take.

And this is my DDIL opening the BSJ which was wrapped in tissue paper inside the diaper bag.

My only regret is that I was unable to get better pics of the individual items... some were very nice and very different.
I was sitting next to my DDIL and was busy helping her instead of taking pictures.
And here is a pic of me with my DDIL. She is a wonderfully sweet young lady, and will be a great mom.

I have finished the baby shower knitting, but still have a large baby blanket and some more bibs and burp clothes that I would like to finish. Since the baby isn't due until the end of January, I think I can finish... once I finish my Christmas knitting.
Happy Knitting Everyone. --Susan
