The kids catalog is in the mail and available online.

The kids catalog is one of my favorites because we get to choose cute things to knit from small garments to toys, toys, toys and being a mom I can appreciate all these things. It does come with its own challenges as children are as unpredictable as animals when it comes to modeling so there are far more outtakes than usable images, but the upside to this is that the parents get a lot of pictures of their children to pass along to family members (mine included). In fact this time Hendrix took a real shine to Sarah, one of our photographers, so I ended up being more of a gear monkey and Sarah looked over the art direction. With kids adjustments must be made.

I also got to feature my Tooth Fairy Pillow pattern. It is available as a free download. For those of you who missed my original blog, I had made a prototype for my dentist a year ago as a thank you for taking care of a three year dental trauma and got so much positive response from it here in the office, I simply added a pocket to make it what it is today. I have since knit my niece one for her birthday with her initial embroidered on the pocket. It is a really quick knit and only uses less than one skein of Shine Worsted. So if you have any family in the tooth losing age range, this could be your answer for a simple, quick-to-knit gift.

Also you can keep up with my progress on the Little Bubbles Baby set for my baby boy due in July in the Kids KAL. It is lots of fun and moves along quickly, so I am mostly confident I will have it done in time. I am knitting the 6-12 mos size just in case.

I just said last week that a KAL for babies and small children would be nice, but I'm not ready yet. I hope the KAL is still going on when I am. Great catalog, BTW! I'm hoping to have a reason to knit baby things sometime soon. Just waiting for the word. --P

Christy,
Loved he catalog, and all of the wonderful baby and small children items. I also enjoyed your talking on last weeks podcast, along with all of the other moms. Keep up the good work, we really enjoy KP.
