This scarf pattern is called Last Hurrah Scarf by Rebecca Crea here the link http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/last-hurrah-scarf On Ravelry I named it Woohoo because how excited I was about it, but now I call it the blue monster because how big it is.

Trying to take pictures of the big blue while me wearing it was just not working. So yesterday I was able to get my wonderful volunteer to model for me. Of course she loves it. Hmm....if the thrummed mittens don't get done in time..three hours knitting time this could be under the Christmas tree. I think Knit Picks Cadena would work for this pattern. Oops sorry side tracked here for a second. Pictures! That's where I'm at.

See how long it is? That's only one skein and I didn't even block it!
Now this one I wasn't going to post at first but she was so going on saying this is mine (in deep monster voice of course) I had to share.

Then there was her blue monster pose

She's to funny and a great sport.
Well gotta get to work
Sorry it took so long to post. Life just doesn't understand the importance of knitting and posting fun pictures.
Hope you have a great day.

I'm working on two socks one on US 1 and another in US 2. I really like knitting with the smaller needles sizes but those larger ones are great for practically instant knitting gratification.

Knit4,
I know what you mean... I'm working on a diaper bag and purse to be felted - size US 13 and 15 needles - and two pair of socks one on US 1s and one on US 3s. BIG difference! --S

Thanks guys!! It took some getting use to knitting on such big needles ( US 19!) after knitting with super skinny sock needles.Especially the knit one below part. After I got use to it, it was so much to knit.So fast! I wasn't even knitting fast it just flew by. It is really, really warm and soft. I'm going to check Ravelry and see if anyone knit this in KP yarns. I can't seem to remember.

Knit4,
Love the big blue monster. It looks so very soft! I have been kinitting some things with bulky yarn and big needles and love the way the fabric feels as I finish up... so soft, cushy, and wonderful! --S
