So this weekend went pretty well, with the exception of lost items:

  1. my husband lost his Bluetooth in the car, I eventually found it yesterday morning
  2. my favorite denim car coat, left it at the first hotel, they will be UPS ground shipping it to me :)
  3. my HOUSE and SHOP KEYS!!  Looked through every bag we took, twice, emptied contents of two knitting bags I took with and my purse, TWICE! Still no joy.
  4. evidently my mind

We had fun visiting with our daughter and meeting her roommate. Took them out to eat, they took us on an extensive walking tour or Texas A&M and then lunch at Freebirds. Yummy.

Hard to say goodbye Sunday night.

I knitted on the long drive to College Station, every chance I got while there, and then sleep knitted on the drive from CS to Dallas.  Bad mistake!  Spent 2 hours unknitting several rows and dropped stitches, then reknit to the point I was supposed to be.

We both found the Lennox Dealers' Meeting informative and upbeat, and the food and folks were fun and wonderful.  LONG drive home Tuesday after stopping in Addison to visit FiFi.

Got the cat from the vet, she was not happy with her accomodations while we were gone, and according to the staff, she griped the whole time, complaints about the slow service, the food and of course her rather cramped room (AKA the kennel, no queen size bed with accompanying quilts and humans to cuddle).  Complaints duely noted by her maid and cook (me) I commisserated with her about the inability to get good help.  Great to be back home in our own bed, with our own cat.

 :)

Off to a play tonight, Pirates of Penzance, in honor of DH birthday.  Knitting shall continue this weekend, and maybe CO before beginning the Mystery Lenten Scarf on Wednesday.
