Spring is here and it's time for change!

It's been awhile since I last blogged and I feel bad about that... Well I would if I didn't have so much on my plate right now! My classes are killing me! These 8 week courses are literally 16 weeks worth of work jammed into 8 weeks. I have read and typed up so many reports that I'm getting confused about what I'm working on in what class! I have decided to take the summer off and get some knitting in before I hit he books again this fall. I had planned on taking 1 class this summer and then 2 or 3 this fall. Well, I can't get financial aid for the summer, so that's out. There are 4 classes offered this fall that I need for my degree, but I don't think I can handle another 4 8 week courses. So now I'm signed upt for 3 and I'm thinking about dropping one of those simply because 2 of the classes are in the last 8 weeks. It would be SOOO stressful to be taking that amount with Thanksgiving and Christmas thrown in there, too! Besides, when would I get my knitting done for Christmas?

I also met some new friends on Ravelry yesterday. I met up with Tempted and dmcgrew2 for lunch and I went to tempted's house to look over her operation! VERY COOL! Loved seeing all her beautiful yarns and how she dyes them. VERY interesting! I could have stayed there all afternoon learning about her company and the people that she works with. Too bad my DS had to be picked up from school! (I don't pick him up very often and he was SOOO looking forward to it that I couldn't break my promise.) BUT I am going to get together with dmcgrew2 and tempted sometime soon for some knitting and chatting. I've got a lot to learn about knitting in general and I think these 2 ladies can help me out with that! Plus, tempted is also teaching me a bit about the yarn business world. I think that one day I'd like to open a yarn shop of my own. Since I live in a small town, I'd have to go to a little bit bigger town and add a few other things besides yarn, maybe a coffee/tea bar and sell books or trinkets. It's a ways down the road before anything happens, so I'm just in the dreamin' stage now...
