I worked my rear-end off last week. Stayed at school Thursday night until 8:45 p.m., stayed up working at home until 11:00, got to school Friday morning before 7:00 a.m., helped set up 45 laptops in the Media Center (had to remove them and their batteries from carts, take them to tables, turn them on, etc.), and put the finishing touches on my presentation for Friday morning's Professional Development day before 8:00 a.m., for which I didn't get paid. Ahhh, welcome to the public sector!
So how am I relaxing? Well, earlier I watched "Most Shocking Police Videos." Now I'm watching "Cops." My students are appalled by what they consider my low-brow taste. If I'm not watching "Cops," I'm watching DVD's of "Bones." Oh, yeah, I'm livin' the life!
On the knitting front, the shawl is looking beautiful. When it's done, I'll have to post photos. Hopefully, by then I'll know how. I envy you all who know how to do these things. I'm still a newbie. I can trouble-shoot computers at school; I'm the resident expert on KeyTrain, Career Cruising, and LearningExpressLibrary, and no one, but no one, can perform research as well as I can. But posting to my own blog? Uploading photos, music, changing settings, etc.? I feel like a Luddite. (Maybe I am a Luddite - I don't trust eBay. I buy online, but not from eBay.)
