I got it!!! Yay!! What did I get? My Knit Picks order of course!! Its like a mini holiday. Smiles in a box. OK getting carried away? Maybe a little, but I can't help it. The yarn I picked out for one of the shawls in Nancy Bush's Knitted Lace of Estonia.. Gloss in Porcini is the perfect color for this

*doing my happy dance* use your imagination I don't have a Flip yet. Well maybe you don't really want see my happy dance. OK so I'm a little giddy you know why that is? That is because I also got these

and I love them both. So take a wild guess what I haven't picked up yet to work on as I had planned on for when I came home from work.. Yep you guess it( like how I think you actually read what I write..hehe.... well if you don't I can pretend can't I?)

Yep the Pine socks. I did turn the heel and have picked up stitches for the gusset and I'm at the decreasing part, and I am planning on working on them this evening, so its OK to take a break to look at shawls right?
I have become shawl obsessed this afternoon. Since I have pretty much planned on what yarns I wanted and colors for certain projects in Knitted Lace of Estonia. Now I am looking at The Prayer Shawl Companion by Jane Bristow and Victoria a Cole-Galo and planning not only what yarns but who I would like to knit a few for. I'm really pleased I bought this book so very inspiring. My DH even likes one pattern so much that he told me to go and buy the yarn today. Hmm.... still working on that one. Also still trying to pick a color for the Hemlock Ring Blanket. Of course DH's yarn will come first, one I think it will really bring him comfort and two hello a husband encouraging yarn purchases(you think he forgot I still have another package coming?).
We just wont remind him. So here I sit looking at the book and looking at yarn and thinking I must have lost my mind!
Seriously when I decided to blog it was to talk about knitting you guys get it other people not so much.To be inspired...OK that part right was more than I was expecting. Ravelry is one thing, here not only do you get inspired but your only a click away to great yarn in a second. Dangerous and fun!
Oh I have to say in my gushy-ness(yes now I'm making up words now) the chart holder was cooler than I thought it would be.Don't get me wrong I thought it would be nice and definitely great to be able to take charts, patterns with me, but I love it!! The pattern of the fabric is really cool( you don't see the fabric pattern as well online, to me anyway) Even the metal Knit Picks emblem is a nice touch. I told my DH, "Look I feel fancy now" Haha....but seriously it is a nice size, I like how you can adjust the size of the strap for when you have it standing up. I also like how the longest magnet goes almost all the way across. * happy dancing again* Gotta run and knit or shop,or shop then knit, or maybe shop while knitting. Hmm.... Hope you had a great day!
