This episode aired just in time for my niece's baby shower. I couldn't afford anything on her regisrty, but I could coordinate socks and washcloths with her planned decor. Thank you.
Also, the legwarmers I made for my sister's baby were a great hit -- fun to watch on hardwood floors, too.

The Knitting for Little Ones Podcast was very helpful. Leggings next for me also. Right now finishing up Little Bubbles for as yet unborn granddaughter! Thanks for all your good advice!!

Another great podcast! The dishcloth is "Grandma's Favorite Dishcloth" and I've made several blankets out of it. I've made both square and rectangular. The smaller ones are a big hit. In fact, one granddaughter just found hers and now the other two older ones want new ones, too. (I usually make them out of one skein of Simply Soft. It's very soft and puts up with the washing and drying.)

Another thing I've made is an i-cord with a clip thing on each end that's long enough for a Mom to use it on any blanket and turn it into a Nursing Cover. These have been HUGE hits with requests for more!

I've made floppy sun hats out of cotton yarns for summer. Since we live in Arizona, these have been very popular as well. I usually do these top down so I can play with the floppiness as I go along at the end. (Depending on how much yarn I have left.)

I am very interested in the idea of leg warmers. Because of being in the desert, I wouldn't make any out of wool, but these would be really nice. I wish I'd thought of it for the youngest one. It was warm enough she was put in onesies pretty early, but it's so cold in the AC. I may still think about some in a soft cotton for her. (She's a skinny one and there's not much "fat" for insulation.)

I love the idea of knitting leg warmers! I plan to knit some of these this summer and keep them on hand (or should I say "leg") for the very fertile group of individuals with whom I work.

I have another suggestion: maybe someone at KP could put together a list of the pro and cons of each of the yarns for baby knitting! Why would I chose comfy over shine and when would cotlin make sense? I never thought of Felici for the leg warmers...

I just listened to the podcast in the car and wanted to post to ask for the various patterns and maybe a list! (I love lists too!) Apparently I wasn't the only one who wanted that!

Enjoyed listening to the podcast and was wondering if you could specify where all the various patterns mentioned can be found.

Great Podcast! I'm a mom of 7, my oldest is 17 and youngest is 2. I love knitting for the little ones, and I love knitting gifts. This podcasts let me know where I went wrong with the knitted gifts, and gave me great ideas!

Thanks!

Wonderful podcast. Enjoyed all the info... especially the part about what to knit and not to bother knitting... we knitters get so enthusiastic... we are really just trying to help and bring some knitting light into the whole baby thing

Swish is softer, but I like CotLin too! Christy just made a beautiful baby blanket out of it - here's her blog post.
