Kelley that was a really good interview with Cookie A. You asked all of the questions I would have wanted to ask and then some! I skimmed my pal's copy of the book briefly and was initially intimidated by the complex designs. This book is now at the top of my wishlist. The comment that sold me was the part about increasing from 60 stitches on the sock to accomodate the patterning. At that point I said to myself "I don't dare knit another sock until I've read this book first!" Thank you so much!
What an interesting interview. Thank you. I will have to order the book I think. I, too, am a dp knitter. I love the circs for sweaters, hats, etc. but much prefer the dps for socks. Have tried the 2 circs and the Magic Loop for both one and two socks, but have reverted to the dps.
What a wonderful interview!!--Thanks Kelley, you brought out so much information. She sounds like a kindred spirit--the attitude of experimentation and creativity, of freedom and joy of her art. I would never call such a creative activity as knitting a craft--we create a canvas for creativity and as such it is art. All of the fiber arts qualify. We enrich our lives and those around us with such arts!! Congratulations for such a skillful interview!!
