Another great podcast. Now that you've given us some wonderful tools to use, wonder if you could add to this site:
1)Copies of current color cards as indicated in podcast to help us see ranges - sure would save on number of trees since we each wouldn't have to make our own copies
2)Chart of values to use in Excel custom colors to match colors of your yarns.

Ok, but just be careful when you are color-tripping. Do not go to the paint dept. You know they have those lovely rows and rows of coordinated idea books and chips. yum yum yum ... I have a wonderful pantone flippy and never use it. All of the colors blend into the next and it's no good for playing. But those chips...and so cleverly right in line with the seasons new color palettes. mmmmm. Ok so I 'll put them back later? maybe...

Hi Jen,

I am definitely embracing the memory loss that accompanies aging! What random stripe generator did you find when you Googled? I am very intrigued!

I just had to laugh at your taking your colored pencils from your scrapbooking bag. I took mine out of my watercolor supplies!! :)

Kelley and Melissa:
Thank you for the great episode on color selection. In a recent stash organization last week I realized that my palette is very limited and I don't take too many color chances. I moved a box of colored pencils from my scrapbooking bag to my knitting tool box and plan on experimenting more. Thanks for the tips on using Excel for color planning (would be great for stripes) and printing designs in grayscale and then changing colors myself.

I did Google for a random stripe generator that was mentioned in another podcast this week and that is also a great tool because it's amazing how the feel changes just by changing which color(s) are dominate in a striping pattern.
