Knitting Community

I have started a new knit hat. It is called Medusa, I guess because it has squigally cables. It is made with double stranded yarn, of which I am using two leftover colors. One color is the blue leftover from the afghan and the same yarn again in an off white which I will be making a crocheted afghan for my next afghan. I got to say, I have forgotten how busy a new kitten can be. I just got a ragdoll kitten which is adorable, I have named her Chloe, but she is all over me when I am knitting.

I forgot to mention, your Chloe is beautiful. I especially love that nose!

I have two cats and a dog and all of them seem to want to 'help' out whenever I pick up my knitting, especially the cats. They will sit so close to me on the arm of my recliner and put a paw on my arm or reach up to pat my face gently, all the while trying to sneak onto my lap. They think if they move VERY SLOWLY, I won't notice. I decided to put down a large piece of wrapping paper for them to play with on the floor. I stapled it into a triangular shape and just laid it down for them to snurkle inside. (What is it about cats and paper???)THEN I can pick up my knitting. Don't you just love them?!

Two of my dogs want to play with me while I'm knitting... not a good idea. I can imagine that a kiten (and she is so, so cute) would want a lot of attention and not want you to be playing with yarn. The hat sounds very interesting. When you make some progress, we need pictures... we love pictures....
