Knitting Community

Hey everybody! I don't know if you've seen this feature on the website yet, but we've started adding video interviews for each of the new kits. I sit Nina or Kerin down in a locked room with nothing but the kits they've designed, then I don't let them out until they've spilled all their secrets about the design process, pattern features, and tips for knitting the project. Each video is added to the product page for the kit under the "Video" tab, and you can watch the video without even leaving the page you're on. Spiffy!

Here are a couple of my favorites:

I really enjoyed and appreciate these videos! I wish I could have a job like Nina's and everybody there. Looks like fun. Appreciated the info - it help me decide if I wanted to buy a particular kit or not.

I love the idea of these videos, I hope that you keep doing them for all of your future kits.

These interviews are so inspiring - and effective! I bought three kits based on these interviews! The designers make me feel like I CAN do it and it is great meeting them, hearing the background behind the pieces, and enjoying this "connection" while working on the piece. Super idea!

I've been looking for a new knitting bag and now I might actually make one! Honestly the knitters tote seemed very daunting with the interfacing and lining, perhaps if we can see a video of that particular process, I suppose I'm just one of those people that needs to see it.

I have always enjoyed the KPs videos and looked forward to the next one but suddenly I can't open the video when I get them, I get a blank square wilth a small icon in the corner. I have tried the right click and open picture but nothing works. I did find out that I could get a GOOGLE Alert to let me know when they are posted to YOUTUBE but it was much simpler when I could get them at the KPs site. Any suggestions?

You make each kit sound so different and fun. I guess I will tell everyone I need knit pick's gift cards for kits for Christmas. Great ideas ladies! (Nina, what is the pattern for the sweater that you have on in the video? Love It!)
