Finally I'm knitting socks that are just for me. This is only my third pair of socks and I just love knitting socks. These are the warm, wooly socks for winter. They are made using 100% worsted weight wool. I don't live near any yarn store so I'm limited in what is available around here. I have a wish list going on knit picks though.
I trying to decide if I want to try circular needles. I'm going so well with DPNs and not sure I want to change. Some of the patterns I read call for using circular and I don't know if I can use other needles instead. Also, when closing the toes using the kitchener stitch on my other socks, I have not had any glitches. This sock didn't cooperate because on the very last stitch, it wants to 'pop up' and be seen instead of melding into the rest of the stitches. I pull my yarn snug as I go with the kitchener stitch. And I'm wondering if the math is really complicated in order to customize the socks for different people. I know one size does NOT fit all! Does anybody else walk around with one sock on and one bare foot? Hehehe.
Knitting is the new love of my life! My only problem is I can't knit and read at the same time. Happy knitting!
