My Essential Kettle destined for Fibonacci Socks
Is anyone else participating in the Ravelry Harry Potter Knit and Crochet House Cup Spring term? I signed up and got sorted into Gryffindor (chanting Go, Go, Gryffindor in the background).
I'd love to stuff my schedule full of every class (very Hermione-ish), but I know my limits. So I'm taking Defense Against the Dark Arts (DADA), where I'm making some Hogwarts Coasters; and Arithmancy, where my project is socks made in Fibonacci sequence using the wine and gold Essential Kettle Dyed that I stashed recently with just such a cause in mind. I don't care for stockinette socks, so I think I'm going to use one of Charlene Schurch's designs (the Slipped Stitch Rib). It is an interesting, very wide rib that will be a counterpoint to the Fibonacci-sequenced horizontal bars of wine & gold.
I think my 14 yr old "Dobie" will love them!
