I recently started my third blanket--the first I made for my husband, the second for my sister, and now I'm making one for me. :) I'm using a double seed stitch (Row 1-2: *k2, p2, rep from *; Row 3-4: *p2, k2, rep from *). My two previous blankets were stripes all the way across, so this time I wanted to change it up a little. Since I'm a beginner, I decided to do the blankets in strips, and then connect them. Here is one of the strips (what I have so far):
Like I said, I am a beginner, so I'm sure there's probably a better way to mix things up (in fact, I just found one the other day, but I've already been working on this for a couple weeks), but I'm going to finish this one the way I started, and hopefully it will turn out well.
I am very interested in learning new things in knitting, but I don't have a lot of time right now. Maybe once the girls are in school...although I'm not in a hurry for that to get here!
