Midwest Weather is Strange

Last week it was so cold we had "severe weather alerts" for wind chill. This week we had a heat wave - In the 40's! Last night and today it snowed again. *SIGH* This is when I miss Los Angeles. I miss knowing what to expect weather-wise.

On the knitting front, I've not made much progress on my shawl. I've been sick, so I come home from work, fall asleep, skip dinner, wake up at 11:00 p.m., eat a PopTart, then go to bed. And repeat the next day. The head cold has morphed into some miserable flu-like thing. That, plus today's earlier dental work (no Novacaine!) makes me want to skip dinner again. But I really want to get some knitting done, dang it!

For Valentines Day, my husband ordered me six books from the Knit Picks site. Neither one of us could resist those words, "40% off!" and "Free shipping on orders order $50."

I agree the weather has been rather erratic. Let us hope that is a sign of things to come! Me and the hub are moving in 2 weeks so we are hoping it stays warm.

For all non-midwesterners reading this, yes 40 degrees is warm! lol

Since I live two hours from the warehouse, I may get my order by my birthday - whooo hooo!

I can beat your weather story. The past two weeks we have had snow storm, then an ice storm, then another snow storm. I melted off last weekend when we had three 50 degree days in a row, followed by two 60 degree days and an 80 degree day. Now it is freezing again, with chances of snow all weekend.

Don't you just love the mid west. I live in southeastern Ohio. And that is what weather is like... whatever it wants to be.
