This delightful project is one of many I want to make from Knitted Gifts.

Besides being such a cute little Hobby Horse, it is a lesson on the structure of hand-knit socks. A perfect project for someone who has been thinking of knitting socks. Just look at the un-felted version of the over-sized sock.

After just a bit of felting and some finishing, the sock magically transforms into a toy!

Even though several weeks passed between when I started this project and finishing, it is actually a very quick knit.

Wouldn't you just love to knit this horse!! This giveaway will include Ann Budd's book and the Wool of the Andes yarn you will need in the colors of your choice. All you have to do is leave a comment on this blog. I will draw a name next Friday - March 5th.

I know two little boys who would love those horses for their very own!

I made 2 of these guys so far. They are an excellent tutorial on sock basics.

I almost bought that book when I saw the horse on the front, but held off because I don't have children (yet!). My toy horse was my favorite toy as a child, and then real horses became my favorite!!!

Love the hobby horse, what a neat job and love the colors, if you don't have a child to use it, it would make a great toy to have, wonderful, Irene Soileau

This is just too cute! I don't have any little ones to knit for, but I am sure I can find some!

How cute! My boys would love this...I have a feeling if I made one, I'll have to make two.

This is just too cute. Which one of my grandson's would I give it to, if I win the giveaway? And the book for me would be just perfect so I can knit lots of gifts for my growing family!
