January Selfish Knit

I started out the new year/decade knitting something for myself.
Everything I knit in 2009 I either gifted or donated except for my first piece.
Not that I should have to justify knitting myself something... right?

I asked for yarn for Christmas and was gifted (among several other skeins) two skeins of Swish DK in Lemongrass Heather.
I'd been pattern prowling and managed to find a lovely vest to knit DH (Swish DK Cobblestone Heather - on the needles as we speak) a shrug for my sister for her birthday and a sock pattern for M! (I still hate socks) but hadn't found anything for myself and now had yarn waiting to be knit.
I like to listen to podcasts while I knit. After exhausting all of Kelly's podcasts - twice and thrice, I found Never Not Knitting searching through iTunes. Its a lovely podcast and I remembered to search for the website one evening... I can remember most everything for everyone else but very little for myself. I digress...
I found the shawl pattern while checking out the website. I knew as soon as I saw it that I had to knit it and that it was perfect for the yarn. I am sure Lady Godiva is lovely however for now I am happy with Swish DK...
