NVM..after many hours, I figured it out.  Little did I know, I was struggling due to the 3 mistakes in the instructions!  Very surprised to see this on something from Leisure Arts!  They almost put me in the nut house!!!!

Hey Megan!  Thanks for responding.  Here is a picture of the finished item as well as the instructions for the row giving me fits...it is the instructions in row 1.  It's just fine as row 1 but when the instructions call for repeating row 1 at row 3 and 5, that's when it causes me fits.  It starts out at 127 stitches but when completed, it leaves you with 125 stitches.  Row 2 is easy as it it just a few knits and mostly purls leaving you with the same number of stitches you start with which is 125 after completing row 1.  So then when I get to row 3 and 5, I have progressively fewer stitches and not enough to finish the repeats as outlined for row 1.  I tried putting this all on a computer the other night and am beginning to think there is something wrong with the instructions in row 1.  I was to try to add a YO both before and after the ssk in that row as that would keep me at a fixed number of stitches but I am not sure how that would work.  Obviously this is not your problem, but if you have any words of advise, that would be great!  Thanks!

Can you post a piece of the pattern?  It'll be waaaaay easier to advise you if I can see it.  If you can post that last repeat that goes into the border stitches I'll try my best to help you out :D
