Yes, it is hotter than Hades here in West Texas, the wind continues to blow almost constantly and there is no indication of any rain any time soon! As you can imagine, my knitting has been put aside during the daylight hours as I am constantly connected to the telephone, either land line or my cell. We are only one week behind in our service calls and two weeks behind in sales calls and the hits just keep on coming! During my little down time at home I have made some progress on my Craft Studio, most especially this weekend. Got my stuff mostly moved in from various rooms in the house, and my hubby and daughter moved the computer desk in last night. Tonight I will search out all the nooks and crannies where I have been stashing, well, my stash, under beds, back of the closets and under the couch in the study. The study, BTW is looking mighty bare and hubby dearest is looking at ways to stash HIS stash of photography and beer/wine brewing equipment and supplies! Once I get my window treatments complete the Craft Studio will be complete! Whoop!
Here are photos of what used to be my son's room. Or maybe not. the site is not allowing me to upload. We affectionately termed it THE BLACK HOLE. Even after he had "moved out" it was quite a mess and has taken me several weeks to sort through what could go to charitly or a friend's garage sale, what we wanted to keep and the dumpster was pretty full after hubby and daughter took a condenser unit sized box (handy having those when cleaning out 22+ years of stuff!) packed to bursting with TRASH. The local Boy Scout Ranch got the mattress and box spring and various other items, I retreived several items that should have been in my kitchen, and I found lots of cash, mostly change EVERYWHERE + a nice crisp portrait of Ben Franklin that made it's way to my Studio fund!
