Knitting Community

Have you checked out our IDP patterns lately? We have a whopping 165 patterns up from over 80 designers so far in the program! It's been really fantastic seeing these beautiful designs & getting to know all of the designers - I only wish I could knit & crochet faster so I could make them all!

One of the more fun parts of my job is doing a photo shoot - while we love our designers to take their own shots (often they are even better than the ones we could set up!), sometimes they do not have the means & access to the kinds of photos we need. Being in charge of a photo shoot is something I have not had any experience with, but with help from our art director Christina & our photo gurus Sarah & Kerry, I somehow muddle through & have a lot of fun with the photos!

For instance, Kerin & I got to put on a puppet show for a very special audience:

(Puppy Hand Puppets by Yvonne Boucher)

And set up a ocean scene for an adorable sea turtle:

Mbé the Leatherback Sea Turtle Crochet Toy by Akua Lezli Hope

And find a beautiful scene for a lovely hat:

Cotton Crochet Sunhat by Sarah Margaret Crittenden

I hope you are enjoying our IDP program as much as we are! And check back every Thursday for our newest IDP patterns!

Stacey, the IDP program is great. It gives new designers an opportunity to step into the world of designing. And it gives knitters the opportunity to get to know them. ♥c

I love the IDP section! I just saw the Beverly cardigan today and it is awesome! Don't know that I want to knit it in laceweight though. That would take me a while. Maybe in Palette once I've begun my east meets west kit and made a nice dent in it.

I just got my pattern and yarn in the mail day before yesterday for the Springtime Lace Tank from the IDP program! It's nice to see some patterns that will fit me. Fat Chicks need knits too! LOL

The IDP is a fantastic program! I have several on my list, ready to order. It's nice when you're on a budget to be able to oder just the pattern you want rather than an entire book. Thanks, KP! --P

I love the IDP program and how it helps not only the designers but the knitter/crochers who purchase the patterns. Only one problem I see... To tempting to try to do them all! :)

Stacey, The IDP patterns and designers are just wonderful! I love the pics you have of so many of these lovely items. This is a big plus for KP, and I hope for the designers, too. --S
