I turned in my Astronomy homework just now (HP group), and decided to share with da group here!
The homework was concerning the ideas beyond there being a balance in the Universe--the idea centuries ago that on the other side of the sun was a planet corresponding to our own. We were supposed to "take a trip" there and see what the planet was like. Others have turned in what the people looked like (dolls), things like that. I decided that since that planet was opposite us, it should BE the opposite of us..no pollution, no garbage etc. FULL of flowers in fact, with one magical difference. When picked, they will never wilt!

nice thought eh? And great to see flowers after all the snow we've had here lately!

Sharon, I had a similar situation too many years ago to count. It wasn't anything to do with knitting. It was with stuffed bears. It was given away when all I was doing was cleaning things. ♥c

Mary, First let me say the flowers are wonderful! I love the colors and the springy nature - so tired of snow - you did a great job! And what a novel idea. And Sharon you are very right, if women started wars, they would be much worse, so no one would ever want to go to war. And Mary, you will love drop spindling, after you view/read Respect the Spindle, you will be primed and ready to spin... --S

thanks Cheryl and Sew..they were fun to make. I agree with you Sharon--I would've shot my DH if he chucked my yarn, much less something like it's beginings. My goal for year is to learn to spin-even if its "just" aspindle. Yes I bought respect the spindle..just haven't got to open it yet!

The total obverse would be your flowers, willy Wonka's chocolate fields and women in charge. ie. matriarchal society with no major wars. After all us women can get mean too. I for instance threw an everlovin' fit when my dear hubby threw out a garbage bag full of raw wool because he thought he was helping me with the trash. I am sorting out my fiber stash you see.

What a wonderful thought, Mary. You really gave some thought to how this other planet could be the opposite. ♥c
PS, These non-wilting flowers are super.
