I'm done! I'm done! I calculate that my Classic Lines Cardigan is the most stitches I've ever knit for one project--coming in around 76,000 stitches (38 size). Eeep! I'm glad I didn't make that calculation before I started! I squeeked this one in under the 6 month mark, and it fits like a dream, so I'm quite proud.

Angela helped me take some photos. It's very windy outside, so it was quite the challenge to get the lightweight sweater to lay flat.

It's supposed to be 90 degrees today, but our office is always chilly, so I'm wearing my cardigan now. The only modification I made to Alison's great pattern is to knit the sleeves longer for my monkey arms (mine are 20" instead of 17"), and to finish the bottom hems while I knit instead of at the end. My favorite part about this pattern is how professional and finished it looks. Thanks to the hemming, steeking and spit-splicing, I had zero ends to weave in. How cool is that? The hems look so pretty too.

Thanks, Alison, for a great free pattern!

PS: In case you haven't been following in the KAL, my CLC is knit with Shadow in Cattail and Shimmer in Eucalyptus.

Great job, it's beautiful! What method did you end up using for the hem? Did it have any tendency to flip?

I'm thinking that your computer came up with the number of stitches???--I'm 6 months into the Palette FI Cardi--just finished the body--and started the sleeves--How many stitches in that beauty according to your computer??? Am loving each and every one, but my hands are starting to show a little "wear"!!

Melissa,
You look beautiful in your sweater. (Both you and the sweater are beautiful).
I'm going to try very hard to forget the number of stitches really fast, as I am
nowhere near done and up to my ears with colorwork for the first time ever

What a fabulous job you've done and what a wonderful cardigan you'll have! While I started among the first, I've had to step back from the cardigan for now. My daughter saw the fabulous Celeste coat on your site and wants it in Aegean Gloss.... And here I was sitting on some of the last skeins. Not enough to do both, so I'm going to be a good mother and let the yarn go to her project. I can pick other colors in the future. I've got the pattern and I have all the good notes from those of you who finished! Thanks.

Good job! The waist shaping looks great on you. Wish I had your waistline. Mine isn't bad for my age, but I'm so short! I love the color, too! --P

Great job! You should be very proud it looks so good!! I'll just ignore the how many stitches part. Since I am still plugging along in mine. Though after looking at everyone's CLC it seem it will be worth every stitch.By the way that color looks really great on you.
