Hi
I am so excited to be part of the Knit Picks community. I have tried to do all 4 of the things they say to do to get started. None of them worked. I guess not enough coffee and my computer and I seem to be having a failure to communicate. Oh well I will get back there later.
Looking forward to a big spinning, knitting weekend next weekend. We will be in Freeport Maine with nothing to do but spin, knit and laugh. Oh yeah, maybe a glass of wine here and there.
Just finished the Greta vest and I love it. So many people have asked where I got the pattern, compliments all kinds of good things. I think I may need to make another one.
Well that is it, off to work on a couple of different pairs of socks hoping to show them off next weekend.
Happy Knitting

Comment by Sharon Carpenter on January 29, 2013 at 5:08am Well it is Tuesday. A good day because I get to go to work at the Yarn Sellar and tonight is Chicks with Sticks. I need to get back into the store and inhale some yarn vapors. I spent the entire weekend and yesterday looking for software that was like Sweater Wizard but would run on a Mac. There apparently isn't any. It was so frustrating because I just could not believe that there wasn't on single program out there. Oh well for right now I will stay with using 2 computers. I leave on Thursday to join up with some friends at SPA in Freeport, ME. Four days of knitting, spinning, shopping and catching up. It takes me weeks to focus on anything else but spinning and knitting after coming home. Well guess I had better get going, wishing everyone a good day.
Comment by Sharon Carpenter on January 29, 2013 at 4:53am Hi Peggy
I would love to join your spinning group. I just got a Hansen E spinner and I am loving it. I will take a picture of the Greta Vest and I will try an attach it. I cannot wear it to work any more because I work at a yarn shop and so many customers ask for the pattern and yarn. The owner of the shop does not mind me telling people I shop at Knit Picks but I feel a little uncomfortable. So I am going to make the same vest out of a lovely wool that we carry at the shop, best of both worlds.
