Quick update - Just added a picture of the Crystal Lake Shawl to my page. I must say, I'm usually very disappointed with the quality of my pictures. Must talk to my DH to see if he can do better than me. The picture doesn't do the shawl justice at all (and that's not to boast, the pattern is so wonderful). It's knitted with Sirdar Blur yarn (in white, so it goes with everything), which is 70% acrylic and 30% kid mohair. The yarn was asking for 5.5mm needles, but I actually used 5mm needles, seeing I'm "knitting holes" (as my DH calls it, grin). So you can easily see the yarn itself, but the kid mohair gives it a lovely fluffy softness that I simply adore. Now THAT's my real first finished nice lace project (not counting my finished test project). And I'm good and proper proud of it. During the week my DH will get a big and sturdy envelope for it so we can post it to Germany.
I've also started the last sleeve of my Scoop Neck Sweater, but won't finish it today. Well, I've got to have something to do during the week, too, since I still haven't made my mind up what to start next as my home project. My commuter project remains the pair of socks for my DH until they're done (which I hope will be this Friday at the latest).
Have a good week, everyone and God bless you.
