Well, a lot has happened since my last blog entry:
1. Went with my daughter, Lindsey, to the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival. We both had a really great time. The minute that my daughter her the first sheep bleating, she was no good for 10 minutes! She couldn't stop laughing. We met a lot of interesting people and saw a lot of neat things. I picked up a new drop spindle from my favorite crafter, some lovely dark blue merino and silk yarn, a pair of lovely ebony knitting needles with mother of pearl tops, and two large balls of the neatest dyed roving.
2. Finished one baby cap for the South River Knitters Guild. The baby hats are knit for the premies, but I tend to knit rather large and I think my cap will fit a normal baby head also. I'm working on my second hat. After my Mother passed, my Dad boxed up all of her yarn, needles, and tools and set them up here to me in Maryland. So now my stash has almost doubled! The baby hats and the pink scarves for the Cancer patients will be a good use of a lot of that yarn. I think my Mother would have approved (she probably would have joined in and made some herself).
My daughters graduation in only a couple of weeks away and Senior Prom is next week. We're all in a tizzy getting ready for that. I have to make sure that all of my craft work has been relegated out to the sun room and the craft closet. My knitting will help me through the stressful time.
