Last week I left you with the pic of my unfinished potato chip – BSJ… it’s an odd looking object at this stage,
But, once finished, turns into an adorable Baby Surprise Jacket.
I will have the buttons later in the week, but for now, this is the finished product.
I still have several Christmas gift items to knit, but in the mean time, my dear husband has been begging for more hand knit socks. After going through my stash for the BSJ yarn, I also found these 2 skeins of Stroll Sport (Emerald and Holley Berry).
And after the BSJ was finished, I knit up this nice pair of socks using US 3 needles. (No pattern, just improvised.)
I needed a few hundred yards of handspun yarn (merino/mohair) for two Christmas projects, and had already started spinning, but needed a bit more. I finished spinning the last 150 yards over the weekend, and am ready to kettle dye this batch of yarn. This is my 322 yards (5.4 oz) of Sport to DK weight yarn… ready to dye.
This has been a short blog for this week, but after this, I should be producing more Christmas items, and still have several baby items to knit, including a new baby blanket (made from KP Crayon), so stay tuned for more knitting and spinning excitement.
Happy Knitting and Spinning to all my KP Friends!
Here are three knitted/crocheted Jack O’Lanterns to wish you all Happy Halloween!

Comment by wendy on November 2, 2011 at 2:07pm Susan, the BSJ is great! I really, really like it. Are you getting special buttons? I am so impressed you can knit socks from just what ever you feel like doing! I'm stilll plodding along on my first pair, although they are getting close to being done. The pumpkins are very cute.
I sure wish I knew when you have posted a new blog! hint, hint :o)
