Blocking Tip

I am sure it has been done before, but I like it anyway! When blocking a square or rectangular piece of lace knitting I line wires up with the edges of the stripes on a big bathsheet....Any comments or a better way, please let me know. I try to learn something "new" every day. My grandma told me ages ago, it is the ONLY way to grow old gracefully...
