Knitting Community

I'm back at work from maternity leave and feeling good. I actually missed work--I guess that's a good sign that I love my job, eh? For those of you who didn't read the news elsewhere and are wondering, my baby girl was born on February 11 (two weeks late!), and we named her Alice Irene. I have more to blog about in the coming weeks, including a free baby sock pattern, but for now I'm going to leave you with a photo of Alice at 9 weeks old wearing the chocolate cupcake hat that Marci made her out of Comfy. So cute!

I love babies, I could just hold her and love herand kiss her all up!!! You are so lucky! Enjoy every minuteof it, it goes by so fast, believe me. My daughter is approching 40 and my grandson is old enough to move out on his own. And you wonder where did the time go?

You have a beautiful baby with an adorable hat!! Two weeks extra seems long, but the benefits show when you take them home and very soon they sleep all night!! At least, I hope that she does with those lovely chubby cheeks!! Best wishes in your new role!

What an adorable little girl! I love chubby little girly hands! Takes me back to my own daughter. I wish I'd had Comfy when she was a baby... I would have learned to love knitting then instead of waiting for decades! My granddaughters are reaping the rewards.....
