Baby socks for Alice

When I was home on maternity leave I got the idea for some socks for Alice that she could wear with her Easter dress. I had some delicate cotton lace in my sewing notions box, and I decided to make up a sock pattern to use it. When I was done, I wrote up the very simple pattern to be able to offer it for free on the Knit Picks site and the "Fancy Baby Sock" pattern was born!

Alice's socks use Shine Sport in Blush and White. Comfy Sport would also work well. Here she is wearing them at Easter being held by her great-granny and surrounded by two of her second cousins:
