Another UFO Bites the Dust (in a good way)

Finally finished with my second Positano Tote! I had terrible procrastinationitis about the lining, but finally just made myself do it this weekend. I brought it to work today, full of all my normal purse stuff plus my newest knitting project (photo below). I love that it stands up by itself and holds so much.

Pattern: Positano Tote from Interweave Knits, Winter 2008 issue
Yarn: Wool of the Andes in Avocado, double stranded
Needles: US7 and US9, 32" circulars so I could knit both the front and back at the same time

My newest project - in Gloss DK! (And, yeah, those are the new Zephyr Options needles too!) I already love knitting with this yarn - so silky and shiny. I'm really excited to see how it does in argyle stranded knitting.

Pattern: Nederland Vest from KnitScene, Fall 2008 issue
Yarn: Gloss DK (not up on our site yet, but here's the Ravelry info page)
Needles: US5 Zephyrs 24" circulars (not on our site yet either, but coming soon - I promise!)

Your tote is beautiful. Could KP possibly do a tutorial on lining totes? Or do you already have one? Did you see Janice's lining on the Sipula KAL. She posted it today under "What Have You Accomplished on the Sipalu Bag." I never thought about doing such an elegant lining for a bag.

What is the Gloss DK color? It is really nice. The colors on the Ravelry page are great.

I will have to check out the new Zephyrs when they become available.

I think I'm going broke being involved in your KALs. I really need to stop buying and start knitting!

The Zephyrs are made from clear acrylic - I'm finding them very fast to knit with, not the normal unpleasantly stickiness of the old-fashioned acrylic needles. And, the tips are slightly flexible which I find makes long spells of knitting very comfortable.

Love the tote, but the teaser about the Zephyr needles is going to drive me crazy untill I can see what they are.

Oh, that's a beautiful pattern!! I had to run to Ravelry and check if I had that magazine and I do!!! Cool... You made yours the same color as the original. Nice! And those needles look like the bomb! Can't wait!

What are the Zephyrs made of? Is it a plastic or something better... ??
