I have finished knitting my hat and now have only the trim left to complete. After several trial runs - and ripping - I decided not to do the top i-cord and tassel as I couldn't get a clean color change and once I started knitting in the pumpkin - it didn't look as striking. I am however going to put tassels on the ear flaps and complete the edging i-cord in navy blue. I love this hat! It was fun to knit and very easy. It has been a great take along project (I wound my colors onto bobbins so I didn't have to carry so many balls of yarn). I am very pleased with the outcome and will most likely make another one. I will post the picture soon.
